Research Associate
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor/Honors
- Minimum of a bachelor`s degree in education, sociology, social science, development studies, gender studies, statistics/research methodology, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Master’s degree with a mentioned subject will get extra preference.
Experience
-
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Development Agency, NGO
Additional Requirements
- Age At most 45 years
- Experience in research, education, or social development projects with experience in data collection. FGDs, KIIs, and supporting data analysis and report preparation are considered an advantage.
- Abide by organizational money laundering policy. S/he should abstain from money laundering activities and any kind of terrorist financing.
- Experience in monitoring and research work, including data collection, data quality, data entry, and managing databases
- Strong knowledge of office software, as well as database software such as MS Access, Excel, and SPSS, is a must.
- Experience and comfort using computers and web-based applications
- Experience using customized and/or project databases. Comprehensive knowledge of current developments and techniques in managing database systems.
- The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions will be a plus.
- Collect and archive program data, analyze data, and prepare different presentations illustrating trends.
- Willingness & ability to visit program sites extensively. Skill & experience in working with e-communication & people with diverse cultures
- Ability to work under pressure
- Comfortable in a performance-based organization working with a low overhead budget
- Proven track record of achieving results. Preparedness to do any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Responsibilities & Context
The Research Associate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring & Follow-up: Frequently monitor the ongoing program and support the technical team to improve the program quality.
- Data Source Management: Check reported data with primary data sources and ensure data quality and documentation.
- Training & Motivation: Provide on-the-job training on data collection, data archiving, data analysis, and reporting to field-level staff.
- Data Analyzing & Presentation: Collect and archive program data, analyze data, and prepare different presentations illustrating trends.
- Reporting: Support to conduct Data Quality Monitoring and Library Rating System, including data collection, data entry, and report preparation.
- Project Data Assessment: Assist the RDRS MEL team in conducting baseline, midline, end-line, and program-only assessments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with RDRS's internal MEL department to contribute to the project MEL systems and participate in different programs and events of RDRS.
