Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance will get preference.
  • Masters or MBA in Business Administration will get preference

Experience

    • At least 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Development Agency, Micro-Credit, NGO

Additional Requirements

  • Age At most 40 years
  • Candidates with experience in NGOs, community radio, or development organizations will get preference.
  • Strong knowledge about financial document management and analytical evaluation.

 


Responsibilities & Context

Job Purpose:

The Accounts & Admin Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient financial management, accounting, and administrative operations of Radio Chilmari. The incumbent will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with organizational policies and statutory requirements, support budgeting and financial reporting, and oversee day-to-day administrative functions to facilitate the smooth operation of the station.

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Maintain and regularly update daily income and expenditure records.
  • Prepare and maintain vouchers, bills, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Maintain cashbook, bank book, and ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliation.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget implementation.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for projects and donor agencies.
  • Assist in audit-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other applicable financial regulations.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day office administrative activities.
  • Handle office supplies, stationery, and asset management.
  • Coordinate procurement processes and communicate with suppliers.
  • Maintain office records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining staff attendance, leave records, and other HR-related administrative records.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Supervise office security, cleanliness, and maintenance.

Coordination & Reporting:

  • Provide regular financial and administrative updates to station management.
  • Assist in preparing reports for government, non-government, and donor organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, rules, and regulations.
